Internet On The Go Takes On Mobile Internet Access

A new service from Los Angeles-based TruConnect Mobile is looking to provide mobile Internet access to Walmart customers. The new service, Internet on the Go, let users purchase bandwidth through refillable, pre-paid cards at Walmart. According to TrueConnect, the new wireless broadband Internet service will give users mobile broadband access on a re-fillable data plan, which rolls over data from month to month with no set expiration date. The new data plans costs $10 for 500Mb of data, $25 for 1.5 GB, and $45 for 4 GB. The service requires users to buy a MiFi 2200 mobile hotspot to access its network. The new service uses the 4G network of Sprint, and supports any Wi-Fi capable device, including laptops, iPhone, Android, and other devices. The company said refills for the service are exclusively available through Walmart stores and Walmart.com; the company said the plan does not include any activation fees or overage charges.
