FastPay Tops $1 Billion In Loans

Los Angeles-based FastPay , the online lending startup led by Jed Simon, says that it has just topped $1 billion in cumulative loan volume. The company--which helps online publishers gain access to funds faster than the usual payment times for online advertising--said the volume of its loans has increased due to increase in digital ad spending. FastPay's customers use the company to manage their cash flow better, as most online ad networks and advertisers have very long accounts payable times.

RadPad Tallies Up $40M In Rent Payments, Teams With Mastercard

Los Angeles-based RadPad , the mobile rental marketplace startup led by Jonathan Eppers, says it proceed $40M in mobile credit and debit rent payments in 2015, and has inked a deal with MasterCard. The company, backed by Altpoint Ventures and Goldcrest Investments, said that MasterCard is giving its customers a low 1.99 percent processing fee--rather than a higher, 3.49 percent fee for other cards--if they use their card with RadPad.

AT&T said this week that it had replaced its 10-year old, third party chat platform with TouchCommerce , as a part of an effort to deliver better service.
