Ring Rolls Out Smart Lighting, Video Doorbell, Other Products

Los Angeles-based Ring, which makes video doorbells, security cameras, and other products for the home security market, has rolled out a slew of new products at CES, including new "smart lighting" products, a new Ring Door View Cam, and alarm product integrations for its Ring Alarm. The new Ring Smart Lighting products--details of which leaked out in regulatory filings last week--provide "smart" outdoor lighting which feature a network of motion-sensing lights which communicate with each other and the Ring app. Ring said those Ring Smart Lighting products turn on, trigger one another, and can send notifications via the Ring app on your mobile device, and can trigger all of the cameras on your property to start recording Those products ship in March. In addition to the Smart Lighting products, Ring also said it has launch a new Ring Door View Cam, a wire-free video doorbell which fits into an existing peephole door viewer; and integration with smoke, carbon monoxide, flooding, and temperature sensors and smart locks. Ring is now part of Amazon.
