Arrowhead Pharmaceuticals COO, R&D Head To Retire

Pasadena-based Arrowhead Pharmaceuticals said this morning that its Chief Operating Officer and head of R&D, Bruce Given, is retiring. According to the company, it has hired Javier San Martin, M.D., in the role of Chief Medical Officer, and Curt Bradshaw, Ph.D., in the role of Chief Scientific Officer, who will work with Given in a transition over the next six months; the company also said that Given will be retained in an advisory capacity for at least one year. Martin was most recently Senior Vice President and Head of Global Clinical Development at Ultragenyx; Bradshaw was President, Chief Scientific Officer, and member of the board of Tollnine, and previously had been at Soltice Biologics.
