BCG Digital Ventures Sets Up Shop In Manhattan Beach

BCG Digital Ventures , a venture investment and incubation company, said today that it has opened up a new headquarters in Manhattan Beach, which it also hopes to share with startups it is incubating. The company says its global Innovatoin and Investment Center in Manhattan Beach is housed in The Manhattan Towers on the PCH. BCG Digital Ventures is led by Jeff Schumacher; the company says it already has 300 employees worldwide, with the majority of those, around 160, already in Manhattan Beach.

Qualcomm Sells UK Spectrum To Vodafone, H3G

San Diego-based Qualcomm announced this morning that it has sold a segment of spectrum it owns in the UK, to Vodafone and H3G. According to Qualcomm, its Qualcomm UK Spectrum (QUKS) subsidiary has agreed to sell its UK L-Band sepectrum (1452 - 1492 Mhz) in two, separate transactions. Financial details of the spectrum sale were not announced. The spectrum is allocated for helping mobile network operators handle mobile data traffic.
