AirMap Adds Former FCC Chair Tom Wheeler To Board

Santa Monica-based AirMap, the startup developing aerial traffic mapping and UV management platforms, has added former Federal Communications Commission (FCC) Chairman Tom Wheeler to its board of directors, the company announced on Monday. Wheeler led the FCC from 2013 to 2017, after being appointed FCC CHairman by President Barack Obama. Prior to the FCC, Wheeler served as President of the National Cable & Telecommunications Association and CEO of the Cellular Telecommunications & Internet Association.
