Over the years I have counseled entrepreneurs to think of a “no” response in terms of “yes, but…” There is always another way to say “no” that leaves the door open for creative thinking. Well, almost always. Sometimes, you just have to suck it up and say “NO” with strong conviction. It usually happens after several attempts to find a “yes, but” solution to a problem or issue that just can’t be resolved.

3D Robotics Raises $27M In Ongoing Round

Unmanned aerial vehicle maker 3D Robotics , which was started in San Diego but now is based in Berkeley, has raised nearly $27M as part of what looks to be an ongoing funding round. According to a regulatory filing by the company, the drone maker has raised $26,699,526 out of a target of $45M, in a round which kicked off on May 21st. The company has not yet announced details on the funding effort.

Mitu, Creator Up Team On Boot Camp, Accelerator For Creators

Los Angeles-based content network Mitu , and online film school CreatorUp is launching a new boot camp and startup accelerator specifically for creators. According to the two, the mitu Digital Bootcamp will run from June 17th to July 22nd, and is aimed at finding Latino millennials (age 18-24) who can help it create content. The two said the boot camp includes three, in-person sessions and weekly online courses, and also includes a chance at a paid internship at Mitu.

The company--now trading as NH on the NASDAQ Global Market--sold 6.5 million shares at $14.00 per share last night, and was trading around $18.87 this morning, having jumped as high as $21.00 earlier in the day.
