Emburse Rolls Out Expense Management Cards

Los Angeles-based Emburse, the developer of expense management and accounts payable software, has launched a new product, which lets companies issue corporate cards to its employees and others, to help manage expenses. The company said its new product, Emburse Cards for Abacus, provides both virtual and physical corporate cards, which allow organizations to enforce travel and expense policies as a transaction occurs. The company said those cars can be used for all ongoing business- and travel-related corporate payments, or as single-use cards for one-off purchases. The cards also can be restricted to use on specific dates, and even restricted down to merchant category code (MCC) or even specific vendors. Pricing on the new product was not announced. Emburse recently came out of the merger of a number of expense management and accounts payable software companies, including LA's Chrome River.
