Viasat Signs Deal With Infostellar

Carlsbad-based satellite communications and equipment provider Viasat and Japanese company Infostellar said this morning that Infostellar has agreed to act as a Japanese market channel for Viasat's real-time-earth (RTE) network, and that Viasat will become a preferred supplier of antennas for Infostellar's expanding network of ground stations. Financial details of the deal were not announced. Infostellar is backed by Airbus Ventures, Daiwa Energy & Infrastructure, Mitsubishi UFJ Lease & Finance, and Sony.
