Dave Donates $250K To Feeding America

Los Angeles-based banking app startup Dave says it is expanding an existing partnership with nonprofit Feeding America, and will donate $250,000 to the group's COVID-19 fund, which is aimed at helping to secure food and help distribute it to people in need across the country. According to Dave, it will launch an email and blog series which will include includes best practices for volunteering at and accessing food banks during this time. Dave's banking apps offers up $100 income advances, budgeting tools, and other finance tools. The company raised $50M from Norwest Venture Partners back in October. Widespread closures and retail slowdowns are expected to hit many retail and hourly workers particularly hard during the ongoing COVID-19 coronavirus outbreak.
