Everytable Takes $16M For Healthy Meals

Los Angeles-based healthy meal service Everytable, which offers up grab-and-go, healthy meals as an alternative to fast food, has raised $16M in a Series B funding round, the company said on Tuesday. The funding was led by Creadev, and also included Kaiser Permanente Ventures, Candide Groupe, Gratitude Railroad Ventures, Desert Bloom Food Ventures and Kimball Musk. The startup, led by CEO Sam Polk, said the new funding will go towards new grab-and-go stores, institutional food partnerships, and expansion of its subscription delivery service. The company cooks all of its meals at a central kitchen--located in Lincoln Heights--and distributed to its grab-and-go locations. The company also was heavily involved in the emergency food relief efforts in Los Angeles, saying it scaled its production from 30,000 per week to more than 180,000 meals per week as a result of those efforts by the City of Los Angeles and others. The company prices its meals depending on the neighborhood served, as part of what it says is its social justice mission. More information »
