NastyGal Files For Bankruptcy

Los Angeles-based e-commerce fashion brand NastyGal has filed for bankruptcy, after failing to find additional funding-- even after news of a "cram down" round in October. Newegg Offers Up Pickup Holds At FedEx Locations

Los Angeles-based Newegg , the tech focused e-commerce provider, said this morning that it has linked up with FedEx, which will let its customer order and hold packages for pickup at FedEx locations. The company said the deal includes 2,500 FedEx locations throughout the United States, including 1,800 FedEx Office retail stores. Newegg said customers can ship their packages to those locations for hold free of charge for up to five business days.

TubeMogul , a video advertising company which has offices in Los Angeles, has been acquired by Adobe in a deal worth $540M net of debt and cash. According to Adobe, it will pay $14.00 per share for TubeMogul. TubeMogul is a provider of a video advertising platform, which lets users buy video ads on desktop, mobile, streaming devices, and TVs. TubeMogul's CEO is Brett Wilson, who will continue to lead TubeMogul's team.

The funding was led by JJDC, and also included current investors Canaan Partners, Domain Associates, InterWest Partners and ProQuest Investments. ReVision said the funding in the round will go towards expansion of commercialization of the company's implantable presbyopia-correcting corneal inlay technology.

Snapchat Rolling Out Spectacles Via Disappearing Vending Machine

Venice-based Snapchat has detailed how to go about buying its new, connected "Spectacles" sunglasses, through a network of vending machines, the company said on Thursday. Snapchat said that users can use a "Find a Bot" function on its website to find the nearest location for its glasses, which automatically captures video from users. Those vending machines will only be available for around one day in each location, according to the company.
