Irvine-based data analytics software developer Alteryx said yesterday that it has named Seth Greenberg as Chief Marketing Officer (CMO), and Scott Jones as Chief Revenue Officer (CRO). The company, which is backed by Iconiq Capital, Insight Venture Partners, and Meritech Capital Partners, said that Greenberg joins from LifeLock, where he also was CMO; he also has served at Intuit, serving as Vice President of Intuit QuickBooks.

San Diego-based TakeLessons , which operates an online marketplaceto connect users with instructors in such areas as singing, piano, guitar, Spanish, and other areas, said this week that it has launched a new service called TakeLessons Live. The new service provides unlimited, live online group classes, via a monthly subscription. The company did not release pricing, but said the cost provides 200 online lessons a month, for less than 10 cents a class.

Los Angeles-based FloQast , which develops financial close management software, said this week that it has named Todd Ellwood as Vice President of Sales, and opened a new office in Columbus, Ohio. According to the firm, Ellwood will head the new office. Ellwood previously was at Dell, and also served as Vice President of Sales for Quest Software, and also was at Aelita Software, Sterling Commerce, Information Dimensions, and AT&T Information Systems.

Culver City-based online advertising software developer SteelHouse said this week that it has named Natalie Serota as its new VP, Head of Business Development. Serota was most recently at Omaze, where she was VP, Head of Partnerships & Events, and also served at Google and Omnicom, and according to the firm has over a decade in senior sales roles.

Santa Monica-based customer relationship management (CRM) tool developer Nimble has wired up its tool to Microsoft Outlook on iOS, the company said on Thursday. The company's software provides detailed information and views on a user's contacts, including links to social profiles, work experience, and much more. Nimble said the new add-in for Outlook on iOS is avaliable to all Office 365 commercial users; users will need a Nimble Business account to use the add-in.

San Diego-based Qualcomm and TDK Corporation announced Friday morning that they have launched a joint venture, RF360 Holdings Singapore PTE. Ltd. , to provide RF front-end (RFFE) modules and RF filters for the mobile device, automotive, and Internet-of-Things (IoT) market. Qualcomm and TDK said the deal to create the new joint venture is worth approximately $3 billion dollars.
