Hyperloop One Gains $50M In New Funding

Los Angeles-based transportation technology developer HyperLoop One disclosed on Thursday afternoon that it has raised $50M in new funding, from DP World Group of Dubai. The startup--which is attempting to bring Elon Musk's idea for the "Hyperloop" system to life, said it has added a representative from DP World Group to its board. Hyperloop One had announced a deal in August to help move containers from ships at sea to a new inland port in Dubai.

The two said the partnership will allow governments using Esri's ArcGIS platform to access free, traffic information through the Waze Connected Citizens Program.
