The HomeFinder Group, Led By RealtyTrac Vet, Acquires HomeFinder.com

Irvine-based The HomeFinder Group , led by RealtyTrac veteran Michael Sawtell, has acquired HomeFinder.com. Financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed. Newly formed The HomeFinder Group (THG) says it will focus on lead quality and conversion for brokers, agents and mortgage lenders through its own consumer facing web sites. HomeFinder was previously owned by real estate technology developer Placester.

Netwrix Gets Series A Funding

Irvine-based Netwrix , a developer of hybrid cloud security software, has received a Series A funding round, the company said Tuesday. Size of the round was not announced. The funding was led by Updata Partners. Netwrix, led by Michael Fimin, said the funding will go towards product development and growth. Netwrix develops software that monitors both on-premise and cloud applications for unusual user behavior.

Amgen Gets FDA Approval On Kidney Disease Treatment

Thousand Oaks-based Amgen said late Tuesday that it has received U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approval on a treatment for kidney disease. Amgen said the FDA approved Parsabiv (etelcalcetide) for the treatment of secondary hyperparathyroidism (HPT) in adult patients with chronic kidney disease (CKD) on hemodialysis. According to the company, its new treatment is the first approved for the condition in 12 years.
