Seed&Spark Adds Former Kickstarter Exec to Team

Los Angeles-based Seed&Spark, a startup that operates an online, crowdfunding site for filmmakers and creators, has named former Kickstarter executive John Diamatos to its team. According to the startup--which focuses on films with a theme of diversity and inclusion--said that Dimatos was previously head of design and technology verticals at Kickstarter. Seed&Spark says that so far, more than $20M has been raised on its site, for over 1,500 movies and television shows; the company said that its crowdfunding site emphasizes diversity and inclusion, with more than 70 percent of its projects coming from women, people of color and LGBTQ talent.
