Two Bit Circus Acquires Arts District Warehouse for Game Space

Two Bit Circus Inc., producer of virtual reality and digitized theme parks, has secured a 50,000-square-foot warehouse space in the downtown Arts District, the Los Angeles Times reports.The company’s founder, inventor and engineer (and son of Atari Inc. co-founder) Brent Bushnell aims to create a space that’s low-cost and allows visitors to redefine the way they play and interact with games. The space will contain roughly 38,000 feet of space for adults and kids to play in and is set to open this September.

University Partners with 2U

Malibu’s Pepperdine Graziadio School of Business announced a business partnership with online education firm 2U Inc. July 30 in a move to support Pepperdine’s online MBA degree program. 2U, which has offices downtown, will begin to support the launch and management of the MBA program beginning January 2020, Socaltech reports.

SRAX sells SRAXmd

Social Reality Inc., also known as SRAX, announced June 29 it signed an agreement to sell its healthcare digital advertising product, SRAXmd, to an affiliate of Halyard Capital for a total consideration of up to $52.5 million. Halyard MD, a subsidiary of Halyard Capital, now owns a controlling interest in SRAXmd, the Business Journal reports.
