ObEN Shows Off Singing, Talking AI Personality

Pasadena-based artificial intelligence software developer ObEN has rolled out a new, singing and talking "AI personality" based on Chinese singing group SNH48, the company said today. The company said it has created the "world's first celebrity personal AI" based on one of the members of the Chinese music group, Aijia. ObEN's AI personality sang a duet with her real-life counterpart at a conference in China this week. ObEN says its technology uses AI and computer vision techniques, including natural language processing and speech technology to create 3D intelligent avatars that look, sound, and learn to behave like an individual. Video of that dancing avatar has not been released.
