HelpJess Combines Video Chat With Retail Shopping

Newport Beach-based startup HelpJess announced on Monday that it has launched a new service, which combines video chat with retail shopping. The company said its tool allows shoppers to live, video chat with brick-and-mortar retail stores through an app, connecting shoppers to in-store staff at retailers. According to the new service--owned by open4sale USA--it is initially offering up its service to designer stores in Los Angeles, New York, Milan, Paris, and Hong Kong, as well as Singapore. The new service was founded by Simon La Barrie, and says it has been working with UC Irvine and The Cove Applied Innovation to help scale its team and product.
