Audio Up Gets $12M For Podcasting Play

Los Angeles-based Audio Up, a podcasting and audio entertainment production studio, has raised $12M in funding, led by SiriusXM, according to SiriusXM Holdings. According to SiriusXM, the investment comes alongside a new creative programming and strategic agreement with Audio Up, where the company will develop new original scripted podcasts and audio entertianment concepts for the satellite radio company. The deal calls for Audio Up to produce content fro the SXM App, Pandora, and Stitcher, among other efforts. As part of the Series B funding round, SiriusXM said that Andrew Moss, SiriusXM's Senior Vice President, Business Affairs and Programming Operations, has joined the board at Audio Up.
