Songtradr Acquires Pretzel

Los Angeles-based music licensing marketplace operator Songtradr says it has acquired Pretzl, a provider of stream-safe music for livestreamers. Financial terms of the acquisition were not announced. According to Songtradr, Pretzel offers rights holders such as artists and labels exposure to millions of new, highly engaged listeners through live broadcasts. The acquisition is the third for Songtradr this year. Paul Wiltshire is CEO of Songtradr. Songtradr says that Pretzel provides licensing of over 6 million tracks from rights holderings, providing more than 120,000 hours of music for streams on Twitch and YouTube. The company's services help those streamers avoid DMCA takedowns or Content ID strikes. Pretzel's co-foudner and CEO is Nate Beck. Songtradr said its other recent acquisitions are Big Sync Music, Cuesongs, and Song Zu.
