Zillow Expands Instant Home Buying Service To LA, San Diego

Online real estate service Zillow is expanding its home buying service to both Los Angeles and San Diego, the company announced this week, in a move which will allow home buyers to get nearly instant offers on their homes--instead of going through a traditional broker and offering their home on the market. According to Zillow, the addition of Los Angeles and San Diego comes along with a move into six new markets. Zillow already had been offering up the service in the Inland Empire. Zillow's service, Zillow Offers, provides a way for homeowners to get a no-obligation, cash offer directly from Zillow to buy their home. Zillow--along with a number of other companies--has been ramping up the service, to appeal to sellers who just do not want to hassle with the traditional real estate process. Those companies have been benefiting from their ability to "flip" homes quickly to buyers, by buying those homes for a good price in what have been very hot markets for real estate. Zillow said Zillow Offers will launch in Los Angeles and San Diego by the end of the first quarter of 2020.
