Semtech Open Sources LoRa Gateway Software

Camarillo-based Semtech Corporation, which develops analog and mixed-signal semiconductors, has released software for its LoRa-based, wireless communications gateway into open source. According to Semtech, its open source packet forwarder works on Linux, allowing data communications and remote management across its LoRa system. Semtech said the open source, Linux software is ideal for creating miniature gateways for use indoors in mart building applications or as mobile gateway in asset tracking. Semtech's low power wireless devices are aimed at the Internet-of-Things (IoT) market.
