WhiteFox Defense Lands $12M For Drone, Airspace Management

San Luis Obispo-based WhiteFox Defense Technologies, a new startup developing technology which protects critical infrastructure against drone intrusions, has raised $12.0M in a Series Seed funding round. The funding was led by JAM Capital, and also included Stage Venture Partners, Okapi Venture Capital, Serra Ventures, OCA Ventures, as well as Frontier Venture Capital. According to WhiteFox defense its drone defense and airspace management technology protects critical infrastructure from drone intrusion, while allowing "friendly" drones to fly freely. The company says it sells its technology to both Fortune 500 and U.S. government customers. The company said the new funding will go to scale its operations, prepare to launch new product lines into the market, and to continue development of its technology. The company is led by CEO Luke Fox. WhiteFox says it has now raised a total of $14M in funding. More information »
