General Atomics Reports UAV Deal With Belgium

San Diego-based unmanned aerial vehicle maker General Atomics Aeronautical Systems (GA-ASI) said on Monday that the company's unmanned aircraft systems have been selected by the country of Belgium. According to GA-ASI, the Government of Belgium is looking to acquire its MQ-9B SkyGuardian Unmanned Aircraft System (UAS), and is currently in negotiations with the U.S. Government on the deal. Financial details of the deal were not announced. The MQ-9B is the latest version of General Atomics well known "Predator" drones, which are widely used by the U.S. and other NATO countries. GA-ASI makes the Predator, Reaper, and Gray Eagle unmanned aerial vehicles, all of which are primarily used by the military.
