Esri Expands In India With New Research Center

Redlands-based geographical information systems (GIS) and mapping software developer Esri, best known for its flagship software, ArcGIS, said this morning that it has opened up a new research and development center in India. According to Esri, the new R&D center is based in New Delhi, and will focus on data science, deep learning, and geospatial artificial intelligence (GeoAI) development. Esri said the new R&D center is the fifteenth that it operates. The company said the new location will hire data scientists, enterprise developers, product engineers, and GIS analysts working in the areas of deep learning, GeoAI solutions, and ArcGIS Enterprise.
