Signal Sciences Reports Revenue Growth, Headcount Expansion

Los Angeles-based web application security software developer Signal Sciences says that it is seeing strong revenue growth, as it grows its headcount by nearly 100 employees just in the past year. According to the startup, led by Andrew Peterson, the company has doubled its employee headcount annually since its inception, and has added another 10,000 square feet to its office space, as it continues its efforts at market expansion. The five year old company said it saw its customer count and revenue grow by more than 100 percent year-over-year, although the company did not disclose any revenues. Signal Sciences develops web application firewall (WAF) and runtime application self-protection (RASP) software, which helps develops of web applications ensure security of their applications. The company said its software protects more than 25,000 applications. The startup is backed by Lead Edge Capital, CRV, Index Ventures, Harrison Metal and OATV.
