MarketCast Acquires Deductive

Los Angeles-based media and entertainment research firm MarketCast says it has acquired data science services provider Deductive. Financial terms of the acquisition were not announced. According to MarketCast, Deductive--formerly known as Dativa--will help expand its data science services for media and entertainment companies and brands. Deductive was founded by Michael Collette and Tom Weiss, both of wom will join MarketCast as part of the acquisition. MarketCast said that Deductive's tools can be used for such things as examining audience viewership data from connected devices to predicting box office behavior and TV viewership trends.
