Esri Offers Up Solutions In Latin America For COVID-19 Tracking

Redlands-based geographical information system (GIS) software developer Esri says is offering up its technology to help address the COVID-19 pandemic in Latin America and the Caribbean, as part of a partnership with the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB). According to Esri, the effort will allow governments in the region to use a COVID-19 solution to track critical equipment and asset availability, manage supply chains, and maintain business continuity. Financial details of the deal were not announced. Esri's technology powers the popular Johns Hopkins University COVID-19 tracker; the company also has a large selection of other COVID-19 resources available through its service.
