Rocket Lab Plans Launch Of 30 Satellites

Huntington Beach-based Rocket Lab said on Monday that its next mission will deploy 30 satellites into orbit. According to Rocket Lab, the satellites--from the United States, France, and New Zealand, include a variety of missions, including satellites that enable Internet from space, test new methods of deorbiting space debris, and enable research into predicting earthquakes. Rocket Lab said it has scheduled the launch during a 14-day launch windows starting November 16 NZT, from its Launch Complex 1 in New Zealand. Among the various satellites are a 3D printed gnome from Gabe Newell, the founder of gaming software company Valve.
