Newegg Plans Boost In Holiday Hiring

Los Angeles-based online electronics retailer Newegg announced this morning that it is planning a larger than expected "hiring surge" for the upcoming holiday shopping season. According to the company, the hiring expansion goes beyond the normal seasonal staff increase for Q4, and also includes technical roles, as well as opportunities in marketing, business development and e-commerce category management. Newegg did not say how many people it intends to hire for its seasonal positions, and how many permanent staff it is hoping to add. Most of the positions are at its headquarters in the City of Industry.
