Rocket Lab Will Attempt First Stage Recovery On Next Launch

Long Beach-based Rocket Lab said on Thursday that it will attempt a recovery of the first stage of its Electron launch vehicle, as part of the launch provider's efforts to start reusing its rockets. According to Rocket Lab, its next mission, scheduled for lift-off in mid-November, will include an attempt to bring the Electron's first stage back to earth under a parachute system for a controlled water landing. The company said it has a 14 day launch window, which opens on November 16 UTC, for its next launch.
