Orca Security Finds $20M

Los Angeles-based Orca Security, a startup focused on cloud security, announced this morning that it has raised $20M in a Series A funding round, led by GGV Capital and also included YL Ventures and SVCI (Silicon Valley CISO Investments). The startup says it was foudned by a group of former Check Point executives and architects. The startup's CEO is Avi Shua who is the former Chief Technologist at Check Point Software Technologies. The company says its software gives its customers visibility into such cloud infrastructure as AWS, Azure, and GCP, helping to uncover vulnerabilities, malware, misconfigurations, leaked and weak passwords, lateral movement risk, and other issues.
