BayWa r.e. Completes 250MW Wind Farm In Texas

Renewable energy developer BayWa r.e., which has its US headquarters in Carlsbad, says it has completed construction of a 250 MW wind farm in Texas. According to the company, its Amadeus Wind project in Texas is located northwest of Abilen in Rotan, and has begun selling power into the grid. The new wind project is expected to supply enough energy to power more than 74,800 homes annually, and is its largest wind project completed to date. The company did not say how much it cost it to build the project, which includes 96 wind turbines from GE.
