EDF Renewables North America In Power Deal In Texas

San Diego-based clean energy developer EDF Renewables North America said on Monday that it has signed a power purchase agreement (PPA) for part of a new solar energy project in Texas. The company said that it has signed a 55 megawatt PPA with BASF for the new project, which is located in Wharton County, Texas. EDF Renewables said its new Space City Solar project is expected to start construction in summer of 2021, and will have a capacity of up to 345 MW. BASF Corporation, headquartered in Florham Park, New Jersey, is the North American affiliate of BASF SE.
