Greenfly Signs Up SailGP

Santa Monica-based Greenfly, which develops brand advocacy software, and SailGP, which runs an annual global sail racing challenge, said on Wednesday that the two companies are in a partnership. According to the two, SailGP has deployed Greenfly's software platform for media collection and distribution. Financial details of the partnership were not announced. The companies said that SailGP will use Greenfly's software to aggregate and curate photos and videos for sharing with its athletes and teams; apparently, SailGP generates thousands of media assets during its events, including body cameras on the athletes, fixed cameras on each of the seven race boats, on-water photographers and videographers, helicopters and drones, and videos clipped from the live broadcast feed.
