Red 6 Snags $7M For Augmented Reality Air Combat Systems

Santa Monica-based Red 6, which is developing augmented reality air combat training systems, announced this morning that it has raised $7M in a funding round. The company said the funding was raised via a financial arrangement called a SAFE (Simple Agreement for Future Equity). The new funding was led by Red Cell, Snowpoint Ventures, and Octave, and also included Moonshots Capital, Irongate, TR Aeroventures, and Marlinspike. Red 6 said the new funding will go to the development of both Airborne Tactical Augmented Reality System (ATARS) and Combined Augmented Reality Battlespace Operational Network (CARBON). Red 6 is led by founder and CEO Daniel Robinson.
