TeleSign Links With Skype On Robocall Screening

Los Angeles-based TeleSign said on Wednesday that it is in a new partnership with Microsoft's Skype, to screen robocalls. According to TeleSign, Skype will implement Telesign's digital identity solution, called Score, to take action against calls that are likely of a fraudulent origin. Financial details of the partnership were not announced. TeleSign said that its Score software behaves as an "inbound spam filter", as well as other kinds of communications fraud. TeleSign's Score product provides a "reputation score" based on phone number intelligence, traffic patterns, machine learning and a global data consortium.
