CareerArc Grows In LA, Names New VPs

Burbank-based CareerArc, which develops social recruiting and outplacement technology and services, says it is in the midst of a big expansion in Los Angeles, and has added about 20 percent to its headcount over the last three months. The company said, as part of that growth, it has named Jason Blais as Executive Vice President of Sales, Linda Souza as Senior Vice President of Marketing, and also promoted Yair Riemer to President of its Career Transition Services Division. CareerArc recently raised $30M in a funding round from PeakEquity Partners. The company--led by longtime technology startup veteran Robin D. Richards--said the new executive hires will help it drive expansion of its business. The company says it has already been expanding its product, engineering, sales and marketing teams. Blais was previously Head of Corporate Sales and Vice President of Inside Sales at ZipRecruiter; Souza has previously served at such companies as Gem, Deep 6 AI and iMeet Central, along with Everbridge and Ariba. Riemer is a founding team member at CareerArc, and was most recently serving as Chief Marketing Officer. Richards has a number of high tech startups under his belt, most recently Internships.com.
