Semtech Signs AV Distributor

Camarillo-based semiconductor developer Semtech announced this morning that it has signed up a distributor in the audio/visual market, to distribute its Pro AV products According to the company, Symmetry Electronics (Symmetry), a technology-focused distributor offering sales, technical and inventory support, will be the exclusive distributor in North America for those products. Semtech's products in the area include its BlueRiver AV-over-IP chipsets, which are used to send 4K HDR over Ethernet, and its AVX products, used for point-to-point distribution of 4K video, audio, and control signals between AV equipment.
