Zealot Networks Acquires AllScreen

Los Angeles-based Ring , the smart doorbell startup led by Jamie Siminoff, said today that it has raised $28M in a new funding round. The new funding came from Richard Branson, Shea Ventures, American Family Insurance, True Ventures, and Upfront Ventures, along with other, un-named angels. Irvine-based hard drive maker WD is extending the capacity of its performance desktop hard drives to 6TB, the company announced today. WD said its 3.5 inch, 7200 RPM WD Black hard drives now support up to 6TB, and are aimed at high performance customers like gamers and professionals. The SATA hard drives were most recently only available at up to 4TB in capacity.

San Clemente-based DealerSocket , which develops software for auto dealers, said Thursday that it has acquired the Inventory+ business of Dealertrack. the two said that DealerSocket will pay approximately $55M in cash for the business line. Inventory+ is used by car dealers to manage their automotive inventory. The deal also includes Dealertrack's eCarlist websites, as well as the team behind the business line.
