Postcard on the Run Links With Hotel Group

Los Angeles-based Postcard on the Run, the mobile app startup which allows users to take a photo on their smartphone and turn that into a real, physical postcard, has inked a partnership with a hotel and resort operator. According to the Viceroy Hotel Group, which operates hotels and resorts in Abu Dhabi, Anguilla, Beverly Hills, Miami, New York, Palm Springs, Riviera Maya, Santa Monica, Snowmass, St. Lucia and Zihuatanejo, it has linked with PostCard on the Run to offer up the service via the hotel company's own mobile iPhone app, MyViceroy. Financial details of the deals between the company were not announced. The link allows users of the hotel's apps to take a picture of themselves at the resorts, and send those postcards automatically to friends and family. Postcard on the Run is run by MySpace alum Josh Brooks, and is backed by investors that include Crosscut Ventures and Selena Gomez.
