Headspace Offers Up Free Subs For Unemployed Americans

Santa Monica-based Headspace says it will offer up free subscriptions to its meditation and mindfulness tools to all unemployed Americans. According to the company, it will provide free, one-year subscriptions and access to a new collection of exercises called "Living through unemployment." According to Headspace, the offer will give all Americans who are unemployed free "Headspace Plus" subscriptions, giving them access to all 1200+ hours of meditation and mindfulness content on the service. According to U.S. Department of Labor, as of Thursday morning, more than 36 million Americans have now filed for unemployment as a result of the coronavirus pandemic. Headspace says its free offer is its own effort to help support and mitigate the psychological effects of a rising jobless rate in the wake of COVID-19. Headspace has a specific a signup page for unemployed Americans.
