SpaceX launches Dragon on Reused Falcon 9

A SpaceX Falcon 9 successfully launched a Dragon cargo spacecraft to the International Space Station Dec. 15 on the first use of a previously-flown first stage for a NASA mission, SpaceNews reports. The first stage made a successful landing at SpaceX’s Landing Zone 1 at Cape Canaveral.

Cigna Acquires Brighter for Undisclosed Amount

Insurance giant Cigna Corp. has acquired Brighter Inc., a digital health technology company based in Santa Monica, for an undisclosed sum, the Business Journal reports. The Connecticut-based global health service company on Thursday announced the deal it says will accelerate and expand its consumer initiatives and provider partnerships.

TrueCar Settles Lawsuit with Car Dealer Association

California New Car Dealers Association announced on Thursday that it settled its lawsuit against TrueCar Inc., the Business Journal reports. The Sacramento-based trade group, representing more than 1,100 of the state’s new-car and -truck dealers, had accused the Santa Monica–based online car shopping service of operating as an auto dealer and broker without a license from the Department of Motor Vehicles in a 2015 lawsuit.
