ChowNow Touts Better Profits For Restaurants

Los Angeles-based ChowNow said on Tuesday that it has launched a brand new feature on its marketplace, providing a new "Diner Impact Score" which shows end users how much they are saving their local restaurants by using its app, instead of others. According to the company, it is cumatively tracking the impact diners can create by placing orders through its ordering platform, instead of other apps. Online food ordering services have been accused of charging exorbitant amounts, often 30% or more in commission fees per order.
