Maravai LifeSciences Buys MockV Solutions

San Diego-based Maravai LifeScienecs, a provider of life sciences reagents and services to the biotech industry, said this morning that it has acquired MockV Solutions, a provider of products used in the development of biopharmaceutical manufacturing processes. Financial terms of the acquisition were not announced. MockV's products are used as part of bioprocess impurity testing, a key step in development and manufacturing of biotherapeutics. According to Maravai, MockV Solutions has developed non-infectious mock virus particles that mimic the properties of live infectious viruses used as spiking agents during viral clearance testing.
