GeoLinks Waives Late Fees, Will Not Disconnect Customers During Pandemic

Camarillo-based wireless broadband telecommunications provider GeoLinks says that it will not terminate service to any residential or small business customers in the next 60 days, because of inability to pay bills due to the disruptions from the coronavirus pandemic, and also will wave any late fees, in addition to opening up its Wi-Fi hotspots to anyone who needs them. The broadband provider--which provides high speed Internet via wireless--said the move is part of the Federal Communications Commission's plege to "Keep Americans Connected" during the virus outbreak. GeoLinks provides broadband via high speed wireless connections via a network of stations on hilltops, wireless towers, and tall buildings, particularly in rural areas. There has been a rapid shift to "remote work", when possible, as "social distancing" guidelines have gone into play around the world, where governments have been attempting to slow down the spread of the COVID-19 virus by making it harder for the virus to infect others.
