Jam City Launches Voter Registration Outreach Effort

Los Angeles-based mobile entertainment and gaming developer Jam City said today that it is getting behind an effort to encourage its users to register to vote in the upcoming U.S. midterm elections, through a joint effort with nonpartisan, not-for-profit organization When We All Vote. According to Jam City, players of its popular games Cookie Jam, Cookie Jam Blast, Panda Pop, and Genies & Gems will be encouraged to register to vote ahead of the November 6th midterm elections. Jam City said the efforts will include a full screen public service announcement (PSA), which it says it expects to help the message get out to a "vast, highly engaged audience". Jam City is led by former MySpace founder Chris DeWolfe. When We All Vote says it is a non-partisan group, whose chairs include Michelle Obama, Tom Hanks, Lin-Manuel Miranda, Janelle MonĂ¡e, Chris Paul, Faith Hill, and Tim McGraw.
