Aerie Pharmaceuticals Names VP

Irvine-based Aerie Pharmaceuticals, the biopharmaceuticals firm developing therapies for the treatment of glaucoma and other eye diseases, said today that it has named John Maltman, Ph.D., as its new Vice President of Medical Affairs. Maltman was previously at Allergan. According to Aerie Pharmaceuticals, Maltman will be responsible for leading the strategic efforts of the company's Medical Affairs Department across a broad spectrum of product-related activities.
