Aperio Acquisition Completes

The acquisition of Vista, California-based Aperio by German firm Leica Biosystems has completed, the firms said Thursday. Aperio, a maker of digital pathology and slide digitization systems, and Leica had announced the deal on August 21st. Financial details of the buy were not disclosed. Aperio was venture backed by HLM Venture Partners, Galen Partners, Advanced Technology Ventures, Acadia Woods Partners and BlackRock Alternative Advisors.
